jimmmmyyyyyyy.
last night lisa and i went to see darren frost headline at yuk yuk's, it was good times. these people kept turning around and giving her stink-eye because she laughs loudly. oh, i'm sorry for laughing at a comedy club, my bad. i guess there are HARDCORE rules regulating laughter and decibels. anyway, when the show was over around one in the morn, they stood up to leave and we sat there finishing our beers and cold fries. the girls all turned around as if to finally get a glimpse of She Who Laughs Loudly™ and they were the most scarborough looking people i have ever seen. first, they all had dark roots and terrible perms, i lie not. one had her hair tied up and she says loudly that "i like the host better than darren" because everyone in the club is dyyyying to know your ghetto opinion.anyway, we left and walked past this club called Notorious right next to yuk yuk's with a looooooooong line-up to get in. so we laughed at them as we walked by, and then i said really loudly that i heard that place was notorious...
we then deferred from richmond in hopes of finding a less occupied route. queen street was a bit better, even with CMW crap going on. a huge line-up at the rivoli, i guess somebody really important was going to be there, or people really craved jerk quesadillas, i can't be sure. the green machine was our destination. i found out earlier that i didn't have my bank card on me, i checked when i got to my brother's. weird. still can't locate it, which is unlike me, i keep good tabs on my shit. anyway, we got the money i required and i paid lisa back for the comedy ticket (she spotted me in the absence of a card and the fact that when i passed by the first time, en route from my brother's place, the green machine had some dude who probably put in the wrong pin three times saying "don't use it, it just ate my card"). we parted ways and she went off to meet her boyfriend somewhere. i should explain, i had a copy of my mom's VISA with me, which links to her checking account, so i was able to get cash, thankfully, which i transferred back this morning. i felt like such a kid, haha. i have mommy's card!
i started down spadina and stared in and wished le gourmand was open 'cause i had an immediate craving for a pain au chocolat, i.e. chocolate croissant. probably for the best they were closed, i've already started losing weight again and it feels good. that whole losing confidence thing was not cool.
i called raymi to see what she was up to, but they were in for the night, and i was pretty tired anyway. i tossed around the idea of stopping in at the foggy dew to see steve-o and have a last-call pint, but nah. i think that would have pushed me over the edge annnnnnnd i was already teetering! i grabbed a chicken shawarma with everything at this little place at king/bathurst. support the little guy, fuck mcdonald's (when it's convenient for me, of course). i was thinking of getting fajitas, but this was wayyy better and they probably need the business more. i also got a strawberry milk and went back to dre's and ate the shit outta that motherfucker. not ten minutes later i was asleep on couchy.eight AM wake-up call and i'm home. slept for a bit, but i had to let stinky out to pee. his poor little bladder and heart. he is sleeping on my bed right now, i thin he's depressed 'cause mom and dad are down in hamilton for the weekend. he always sleeps away their absence because, apparently, i am very boring. i think i'm going to go for a hangover walk in a bit through the park/ravine. it's gorgeous outside and being able to walk from point-A to point-B last night was magical.
gomez pictures and walk pictures to come later.
