more like 299.

so 300 was really good, as far as effects go. the way the story unfolded, however, left something to be desired, there was no real climax, the whole thing was sorta stuck in cardiac arrest.

i was early to meet, so i bought a triple shot coffee in hopes of warding off the incoming tiredness. success. though my success was delivered by the hands of starbucks, which i drank as i wandered around chapters poking and smearing arts books with my greasy hands. i couldn't help but feel like a complete douche.

i met ricardo for a couple beers at this small underground place called smokeless joe's. they had the same logo and font as shoeless joe's, and that's what i thought they were when we first walked by, but oh no. they have over 250 different types of beer, mostly from belgium and holland. we had pints of cameron's, haha. but they reinvented the BLT snadwich by adding slices of avocado and a wee bit-o-salsa, all served on dark rye, lightly toasted bread. it was heavenly.

feeling the need to scarf down another pint, we got to the theatre in time to find out the IMAX theatre was full. we were annoyed because at least 30% of the seats were taken up with coats, and we figured that hiring ushers would allow them to fit more people in. at $14 per head, and paying an usher nothing more than $10 per hour, that'd increase their profit. oh well. we caught the 7:30 show in the other theatre, and i had to pee not even half an hour into the movie. fucking beer.

ricardo pointed out the disappearing blood which was really a wonder of special effects, but still. the sand would have been pink by the time they were done, but there was no blood anywhere. but i liked it, i give it thumbs up not giving a rat's ass if it's a hype movie. it was worth it!

ya, so my boss just came to check on me 'cause i hadn't answered the phone, the past few calls, but i was in the terlit... waving my hands around to, um, circulate the air. and stuff.

gotta cold, too. them's good times.
