instead of treated we get tricked.

sitting here on a cozy saturday afternoon, which actually is morning since i only got up an hour ago. pancakes and coffee have already been consumed, and i'm ready to go. and by go i mean i am ready to play guit-box and laze around the house until an acceptable hour when i can have some more wine. groceries need to be done today- i am sick of fish (that's all i have), rice noodles, and green peppers in curry/hoisin/garlic sauce. i mean, it tastes good but fuck (huh huh, buttfuck), enough already. in other news: i am having a love affair with tofu. not only have i always liked the taste/texture, but it's so easy to cook. no defrosting required, like with chicken or what-have-ye... straight in the pan. lisa showed me "tofu steaks" so sometimes when i stumble through the door drunkenly i'll fry up two slices of tofu and away we goooo.

a couple nights this week my dinner plans were thwarted by the hot dog stand being mysteriously absent from the sidewalk by the bus terminal. $2.50 for a veggie dog and fry up some green peppers to go with (see?) and we're set. i wonder where they went? maybe they were annoyed that i never returned to take a picture with him, or refuse to answer weird prying questions about my non-existent love life? whatever. i want my $2.50 dinner, even if it may be 80% comprised of newspaper clippings.

i found "hey rube" at BMV for $8 on a little walk last night, so i snatched it- very good. about 8 years out of date, but HST's writing is timeless. that was his last official book before he shot hisself in the face, and was now cheap enough for me to buy! three cheers.

tonght i'm heading to the sneak for saturday nach with HKDizzle. that's how we roll. how the rest of the evening will turn out? i do not know, but i suppose i may tell you about it in a month when i write another blog entry. but it's more likely i will write about the dramatically increasing number of windows in my socks... it's a hard knock life (for us).
