etc and so forth

so it's thursday, first week back on the two-days-from-home / three-days-in-the-office routine. love it. missed it. sipping some orange pekoe which i have been preferring over coffee as of late, dunno, i love the process, ya know? the sipping of something warm, the holding the mug, the warm and fuzzy insides. the sitting at my desk invoicing... what?

did you know that some people eat patties inside of coco bread? strange. seems so redundant, but then the west indies ingests bags of flour for breakfast, lunch and dinner. it's crazy, you think it's hard to find a decent meal in the USA, try finding one in trinidad. vegetables? fruit? yes those things grow here but we like to eat flour instead.

anyway, not complaining. i get to go for a week in march for my granny's 90th birthday party. hopefully check out some turquoise beaches. not hopefully, WILL. i will not accept no for an answer... especially since i'll be coming from the depths of february winter depression. beach! now!

in other news, ever have stupid little things that should not annoy anybody, annoy you regularly? as if they are rules of engagement... like how people always have to walk further than you on the subway platform. they just have to go a bit further, just a bit. it's a trend, i am not crazy, people i am convinced consciously think they will go further down the platform... is it an attempt to benefit the greater good by spreading out as much and as evenly as possible? is it an attempt at some sort of solitude that would only ever be considered solitude in the city? is it competitive?

and then there's the door-blockers. get on, stop and stand in doorway. after all, i am the last person on earth.

but i have a right to be mad about that. selfish, selfish, selfish are the people in the city, but it's not all their fault. all our fault. i dunno, it becomes a condition of living here- kill or be killed, shove or miss out, step aside or plow through 'cause you're tired of always being the one who is courteous. i do try to maintain that it doesn't matter what people do, i will act in a way i deem appropriate... but PMS occurs, and so do no sleep work days. on those days, i keel joo.

uh yeah... well. tea's getting cold. see ya later...
