set it free.

playing peek-a-boo
will not fix the situation
but only staring at what is
the illusion of my puppetry
plucking strings in desperation
to move
what ought not to be moved
to capture
what should not be contained
all the while the vibrations
that were as loud as dogs barking at 3am
and meant for the show
only rattled in my brain
while the stage lay silent
and the lights
hung low

places and spaces.

have you ever watched the sun set behind a mountain, that stands high above the sand dunes, during a dust storm?

have you ever stood on dry land almost 300 feet below sea level?

have you ever?

it's hard to imagine that yesterday at this time (PST) i was driving through the amargosa desert, passing red rock canyon, and witnessing the humbling, snow-peaked, spring mountain range.

time and place are such powerful things.

more to come.

purgito ergo sum?

one of the main things moms taught me was to purge, emotionally. not to bottle it up until it explodes (because it never goes away).

i was surprised at my "happiness index" level, but why? should I be? sometimes i doubt my own progress, okay, a lot of the time... most of the time... but yeah, i am pretty damn happy: in my work, with myself, and with the company i choose to keep.

and it is not for lack of crying and writing so hard that the words are engraved on the bed below, but more likely because of it.

no pain no gain.

so i suppose that whole "take the good with the evil" thing is true after all.

huh.

metro.

Hello. I am writing because I am becoming increasingly displeased with the level of service at your *** location in ***, so much so that I am probably going to start shopping elsewhere.

Not only have I been treated with undo rudeness when checking out there (we've all had long, tiring work days... a little effort to be somewhat pleasant isn't hard to ask from everyone- cashiers and us customers), but this morning one of the cashiers was so focused on completing some other duty (and giving me attitude when all my items were stuffed into one bag), that she failed to place all of my purchased items in the bag. I only noticed when I got to work, an hour away and those items were a part of my lunch.

These are very frustrating experiences since they could be easily avoided and I had to send a note to inform your company.

Thank you for your time.
